So what are the symptoms of a yeast infection and do you have one?
Before we get to that, did you know that as many as 75% of women suffer from a yeast infection during their lives and possibly as many as 50% of men?
Quite often, the symptoms may not be very obvious and a person may not even realize that they have a yeast infection.
However, in many cases, the symptoms of a yeast infection can be particularly severe.
The good news though is that a yeast infection – be it a vaginal yeast infection, an oral yeast infection or a yeast infection of the penis – is completely treatable, provided that you choose a proven program for the elimination of both the cause and symptoms.
A yeast infection, technically called Candidiasis by doctors, occurs when normally occurring yeast germs in the body spread and multiply to a point where a range of nasty, unpleasant conditions appear.
Typically, yeast germs can multiply too much when a prolonged period of antibiotic usage has taken place as this attacks the germs that normally keeps yeast under control and in balance within the human body.
High sugar diets are also a green light for a big yeast infection as are diets high in fat.
A lack of cleanliness in daily washing and unprotected sex have also been cited by medical experts as major causes of yeast infections in both women’s health and men’s health.
In some cases, hormone replacement therapy and treatment for infertility have been given as reasons for yeast infection outbreaks.
With regard to symptoms for a vaginal yeast infection, if you are suffering from such conditions as an itching, burning sensation in the genital area along with a white, milky curd-like discharge and an unpleasantly strong vaginal odor, then there is a strong chance that you are suffering from a vaginal yeast infection (Candidiasis).
This can be an embarrassing situation and condition and that is why a proven home treatment program can be far more discreet, private and dignified.
As for penis yeast infections, the usual burning and itching feelings are present as is a blotchy red, speckled appearance of the skin on the head of the penis.
For oral yeast infection symptoms, expect to see white lesions (sores) on the inner cheeks, tongue and possibly even tonsils.
If you are suffering these symptoms of a yeast infection, the most important thing to do is to take action.
Whether that takes the form of a visit to your doctor, the use of a home remedy treatment program or the use of over-the-counter drugs (though these usually address only the symptoms and not the underlying cause), the vital next step is to not ignore the condition (which will worsen) but to act – today!
If not, the condition will simply worsen and the symptoms will become more extreme.
Most of all, such discomfort, however embarrassing, is entirely treatable so you do not need to put up with a yeast infection any longer.
